The UAE is moving to a 4.5-day week to 'boost productivity and improve work-life balance'

The move would ensure "longer weekends to boost productivity and improve work life balance," the UAE Media Office tweeted. The new working day will be 07:30 to 15:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:00 Friday, the government said. It is unclear if companies in the private sector are to follow suit in this new working week.
